What Tradles Is

Tradles is a free trading education game. You look at real (anonymized) cryptocurrency charts, predict the price direction, and get detailed analysis of what happened and why. No real money is involved. No trading takes place. Think of it as flashcards for chart reading.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

Email address (optional) — If you choose to join our waitlist, we collect your email address. That's it. We don't ask for your name, phone number, or anything else. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send.

Information stored in your browser

Tradles stores your quiz results, predictions, and preferences locally in your browser using IndexedDB and localStorage. This data includes things like: scenarios you've completed, your accuracy stats, chart theme preferences, drawing tool settings, and sound/mute preferences.

This data never leaves your device. We don't upload it, sync it, or have any access to it. If you clear your browser data, it's gone.

Information collected automatically

Error tracking — If Sentry is enabled, it captures JavaScript errors (stack traces, browser version, error messages) to help us fix bugs. No personal information is included in error reports.

Server logs — Our hosting provider (Vercel) maintains standard server logs that may include IP addresses and request timestamps. These are handled by Vercel per their own privacy policy and are not used by us for tracking.

How We Use Your Information

• Email: Exclusively for waitlist updates and product announcements. We don't sell your email, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything else.
• Local browser data: Powers your personal stats, streak tracking, and preferences. It's your data on your machine.
• Error reports: Fixing bugs and improving the platform.

Third-Party Services

Tradles uses a small number of third-party services to operate:

• Vercel — Hosts the website. Based in the USA. Handles server requests and may process IP addresses in server logs.
• Resend — Sends emails. Based in the USA. Stores email addresses for users who join the waitlist.
• AWS CloudFront — Content delivery network that serves chart scenario data. Does not receive any personal information.
• Sentry — Error tracking service (when enabled). Receives error reports without personal data.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising trackers. We do not use cookies for tracking.

Data Storage & Security

The vast majority of your data lives in your browser and never touches our servers. The only personal data we store remotely is your email address (if you provided one), which is held by Resend.

We don't sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. We use standard security practices including HTTPS, security headers, and rate limiting on our API endpoints.

Your Rights

• Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email we send.
• Delete local data by clearing your browser's site data for tradles.com. This removes all quiz history, stats, and preferences.
• Request deletion of your email from our waitlist by contacting us at [email protected].

Children's Privacy

Tradles is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their email, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to This Policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Since we don't have user accounts yet, this page is the primary way we'll communicate changes.
